High. Subterranean termites, sometimes called white ants, are a highly destructive timber pest. They can cause major structural damage to all types of buildings.
Termite Inspection & Report In Accordance with Australian Standard 3660.2-2000
Studies have shown that as many as 1 in 3 homes will be attacked by termites in its lifetime. It is therefore very important to have regular termite inspections carried out by a licensed Timber Pest Technician. I consider this to be an important initial assessment of what problems exist, where the problem is, why it is a problem & most importantly, what can be done about it. We will conduct a full visual inspection to all accessible areas of the property including the following:

1. The external walls of the building
2. Grounds pertaining to the property including trees, tree stumps, landscaping timbers, retaining walls, fences, deckings
3. The internal areas of the building, sounding all accessible timbers including door frame timbers, skirting board timbers, window frame timbers
4. Inspection of the accessible internal walls for the presence of high moisture
5. The roof void
6. Subfloor areas where applicable

Your Termite Inspection Report will then outline detailed information regarding;

• High Risk Areas & their location
• Termite activity, identification of species & where it has been located
• Termite workings and damage located
• Termite nests, identification of species & where it has been located
• Whether a termite management system is in place
• Evidence of Wood rot (Wood Decay Fungi) & where it has been located
• Conducive areas that may attract subterranean termite infestation
• The degree of risk of subterranean termite infestation to the overall property
• Identification of drainage problems & water leaks
• Existence of high moisture areas within the building
• Whether ventilation issues exist
• Treatments required
• Recommendations to protect your home
